# Authors Committee Chair Change January 11, 2007 [Amy Perfors](http://www.mit.edu/~perfors/interests.htm) to Mike Kellermann. Mike was a Michigan undergrad, spent a year in Londonat the LSE, and is now a 4th year graduate student in the GovernmentDepartment at Harvard. He studies political parties in advancedindustrial democracies and is interested in statistical and formalapproaches to the study of politics. He tells me that writing for theblog is a good way to take his mind off of the collapse of Michigansports teams in the last year (the Pistons, the Tigers, Michiganfootball, etc.), but I think its only because his quiet and carefuldemeanor belies the enormous energy he brings to research and methods.We are fortunate to have Amy continuing to write for the blog atthe same time as she continues her Bayesian studies of language, howkids learn, and a variety of other [interestingissues](http://www.mit.edu/~perfors/interests.htm) in cognitive science.
