[James Montgomery](http://www.ssc.wisc.edu/~jmontgom/), University of Wisconsin sociologist and economist, has a draft of a [new book](http://www.ssc.wisc.edu/~jmontgom/376textbook.htm) on mathematical sociology available for download. Unlike James Coleman's [classic 1964 text](http://www.amazon.com/Introduction-Mathematical-Sociology-James-Coleman/dp/0029065208), Montgomery's comes complete with Matlab code --- a sign of 45 years of progress :)
